Kristin Kennedy is an experienced health system leader and Registered Nurse with more than two decades of clinical and executive leadership experience in Canada and the United States.
She currently serves as the new President and CEO, bringing a strong background in hospital operations, clinical leadership, and system transformation. Prior to this role, Kristin served as President and CEO of Erie Shores Healthcare from 2020 to March 2026, after previously holding the role of Chief Nursing Executive from 2018 to 2020.
Earlier in her career, Kristin held progressive leadership positions within hospital and community health systems, including at Windsor Regional Hospital, where she served as Director of Critical Care and Cardiology (2017–2018) and Operations Manager for the Neurosciences Program (2015–2017). She has also held leadership roles with the Victorian Order of Nurses, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, and Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan.
Kristin began her career as a neonatal intensive care nurse and flight nurse at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, experiences that helped shape her patient-centred leadership approach and commitment to advancing quality and access in health care.
In addition to her executive leadership, Kristin contributes to the development of future health system leaders as a part-time professor in the Master of Health Management program at the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.
Effective September 1st, 2026, Kristin is now President and CEO for ESHC as well under a new integrated administrative leadership model benefiting both local organizations.
