President & Chief Executive Officer

David MusyjDavid Musyj is the President and CEO of Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH). He is licensed to practice law in both Ontario and the State of Michigan. Under David’s leadership, the Windsor Regional Hospital vision, Outstanding Care – No Exceptions is a living and breathing statement that inspires the entire team at the hospital. David believes the engine of WRH is its staff and he is committed to working with them to create a healthy, motivating and rewarding workplace. In keeping with this philosophy, WRH continues to strive for excellence and innovation. Born and raised in Essex County, David is married to Elizabeth who is also a lawyer and is a partner with the Bartlet and Richards law firm. Elizabeth and David are the proud parents of a son, Maxim.

Chief Operating Officer & Chief Nursing Executive

Karen McCulloughKaren McCullough RN, B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed. has been with Windsor Regional Hospital in various leadership roles since 1986. In 2013, Karen became the Chief Operating Officer in addition to Chief Nursing Executive. In this role, Karen provides ongoing support and guidance to the clinical Vice Presidents and Acute Care Directors as they work directly with frontline leadership and staff to meet the needs of patients and families and fulfill the hospital’s vision of Outstanding Care, No Exceptions! Karen is also a certified Lean Consultant. This has been an asset as the organization searched for and obtained the services of a consulting partner, KM&T, to assist the organization in building the foundation for continuous process improvements using Lean principles and techniques. Karen’s passion is patient safety and quality and she has a keen interest and ability to lead system and process improvements.

Vice President, Surgery, Critical Care and Family Services

Rosemary PetrakosRosemary Petrakos, RN, BsCN has been with Windsor Regional Hospital in various positions since 1978. She became the Vice President of Surgery, Peri-operative and Women’s & Children’s Services in January 2014. Rosemary provides support and guidance for the Directors of these Acute Care departments and assists with facilitating the development and integrations of the decision-making process throughout the nursing portfolio through to the senior team and to the President and CEO. In 2005 Rosemary successfully implemented the 'MORE OB' Program (Managing Obstetrical Risks Efficiently). She has led one of Windsor Regional Hospital’s top focus groups – the Falls Team - since 2009. Rosemary has a keen interest in continuous process improvement. She is a devoted and dedicated professional.

Executive Director of the Windsor Family Health Team

Mark FerrariMark Ferrari, BA (Hons) has been affiliated with Windsor Regional Hospital since 2008 as a member of the Executive Committee. Mark is the founding ED of the Family Health Team and in his affiliated role has been able to create new and innovative ways for acute care and primary care to work in alignment to improve patient flow and patient experience within the local system of health care. Mark also provides oversight to a local Community Health Centre, is a partner to health services at St Clair College and will soon be opening a Team Care Centre. He has been instrumental in the success of a number of local collaborations around LGBTIQ health care services and various population health initiatives. He has a keen interest in community development and health equity.

Regional Vice President, Cancer Services, Renal, Patient Relations & Legal Affairs

Monica Staley LiangMonica Staley Liang, RN, BsCN, LLB has been with Windsor Regional Hospital in various positions since 1988. She became the Director of Patient Relations & Legal affairs in May 2010 and now holds the role of Regional Vice President, Cancer Services, Renal, Patient Relations & Legal Affairs since May 2015. She is also an Adjunct Professor with the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. As a leader in person-centred care, her goal is to ensure we deliver comprehensive care that supports the patient and their family in their time of need. She is a devoted and dedicated professional.

Vice President, Corporate Services and CFO

Mark FathersMark Fathers, BComm, CPA, CA, joined Windsor Regional Hospital in November 1996 in various positions until he was named VP Corporate Services & CFO in May 2014 . In this role he oversees finance, security, facilities, admitting and transcription, as well as guest services including housekeeping, portering, and food and nutrition. Mark is one of the Executive Co-Leads for the Standardization and Optimization Process (SOP) Quality Based Procedures (QBPs) Pathway Improvement Program. Mark is Past President and board member of the Windsor Essex County Chartered Accountants Association. He is currently a Board Member of TransForm the Hospital’s Shared Services Organization and sits on their Audit, Finance and Resources Committee.

Vice President, Public Affairs, Communications and Philanthropy

Ron FosterRon Foster, BA has been with Windsor Regional Hospital in various positions since 1987. He became the Vice President of Public Affairs, Communications and Philanthropy in 2007 as well as the Executive Director of the Windsor/Essex Hospitals Foundation. As Executive Director, Ron is responsible for raising approximately $2M to $3.5M annually for the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation. In addition to his work at Windsor Regional Hospital, he is also a member of the Hospital Public Relations Association of Ontario and the Association of Professional Fundraisers (AFP). He is a devoted and dedicated professional.

Vice President, Medicine & Emergency Services

Ralph NicolettiRalph Nicoletti, B.ASc., M.B.A, has been with Windsor Regional Hospital in various leadership roles since 2006. In 2013, Ralph became the Vice President of Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency, and Mental Health Services. In this role, Ralph provides support, guidance, and direction to the Directors and Managers of these Acute Care departments as they develop, implement and sustain improvements in processes and care delivery to ensure positive patient outcomes. Ralph is also a certified Lean Consultant and is passionate about quality, safety, and continuous improvement. He leads the Emergency Department – Length of Stay Indicator team.

Chief of Professional Staff

Dr. Gary IngDr. Gary Ing B.Sc., MD has been in Medical Practice for 40 years and has severed in various roles at Windsor Regional Hospital since 1979. Dr. Ing has been Chief of Staff at Windsor Regional Hospital since 1993. He has also chaired the Board of Directors of the Ontario College of Family Physicians. As a member of the Essex Kent Lambton Medical School Exploratory Committee, he worked toward the establishment of a Medical School Campus from the Schulich School of Medicine at the University of Windsor. Dr. Ing is a recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal (2003) and Volunteer Award (1985) from the Government of Ontario and three service awards from the Essex County Chinese Canadian Association, which he also served as President.

Karen RiddellKaren Riddell, RN, BScN, MBA has been with Windsor Regional Hospital in various positions since 1999. She became the Vice President of Critical Care, Cardiology, Regional Stroke and Trauma and Clinical Support Services (Pharmacy, Laboratory, Allied Health and Infection Prevention and Control) in April 2018. Karen provides support, guidance and direction for the Directors and Managers of these departments as they develop, implement and sustain improvements in processes and care delivery to ensure positive patient outcomes. Karen leads the Hospital Acquired Infection and Hand Hygiene Corporate indicator and is dedicated to the continuous system and process improvements throughout her portfolio and the entire organization.
