WRH Foundation Supports New Initiative at Bright Lights Windsor
23-11-2021
The countdown is on for this year’s Bright Lights Windsor Festival.
The festivities return to Jackson Park with safety protocols in place after taking a one-year hiatus last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation partnered with the City of Windsor and Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation to launch the YQG Hearts for Hope campaign to support three local charities. For a $5 donation, the public can write an encouraging note on a heart that will be used to decorate four magnetic walls with messages of hope. Following the festival, the displays will be placed at both hospitals with proceeds supporting Transition 2 Betterness, the Salvation Army and UHC - Hub of Opportunities.
“Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation is thrilled to be part of Bright Lights Windsor - Hearts of Hope Campaign,” said Foundation Director of Philanthropy Gisele Seguin. “It is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the holidays.”
Bright Lights Windsor will dazzle and inspire visitors from December 2, 2021 to January 9, 2022 with the following safety precautions:
- Directional signage to manage the one-way flow of people
- Properly spaced attractions to avoid traffic jams and gatherings
- The WE Made It: Holiday Market will have a larger space to spread out the vendors
- Masks required to be worn when physical distancing of two metres is not possible
