WRH now has access to an emergency response notification system that will alert employees, professional staff, volunteers, and affiliates with critical information quickly. You can now enroll in this system, whereby you would receive a text message alert.

This system enables us to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations where an Emergency Code (such as Orange, Red, Black, Silver etc.) It is NOT to be used by WRH for the purposes of routine communications. However, by providing users with early notification of major developments which could challenge and/or disrupt routine operations of the hospital, we can better ensure WRH team members are better prepared and able to respond as necessary before coming to work, or while at work.

This would be a very sparingly used alert notification so that we can alert our employees, professional staff, volunteers and affiliates for only the most significant of developments. This would in effect be similar to the “Amber Alert”’ phone notification used by the province to alert communities about missing children. Various municipalities including our region have similar emergency notification systems.
