Windsor Regional Hospital is seeking an innovative and experienced Radiation Oncologist Physicist to be the head of Medical Physics for the Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program. The Head of Medical Physics will lead a dynamic department to work alongside Radiation Oncologists, Physicists and Radiation Therapists. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational direction for all clinical, administrative and academic functions for the department. They will collaborate with the Leadership Team within the Cancer Program, Lead - Radiation Oncologists and the Manager, Radiation Therapy to oversee all aspects of radiation therapy.

Reporting to the Director of the Surgical Program and working in a collegial/collaborative relationship with the Program Manager, the Clinical Practice Manager is responsible for the advancement of nursing knowledge and professional practice to ensure evidence-based, individualized care of patients and families. Responsible for directing and developing advanced nursing practice within the program and across the patient care spectrum. Responsible for the management of nursing competency within the program.

18.1099 Vice President, Emergency and Medicine Programs

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President, Emergency and Medicine Programs is responsible is responsible for the quality of patient care provided, for oversight of the programs and services, and for achieving financial and strategic objectives. This position is responsible for fostering a culture receptive to the continuous changes in healthcare. The incumbent will optimize our ability to assess, direct and implement quality, patient-centered care within the clinical programs within the portfolio. This includes developing objectives for and monitoring actual departmental performance in areas including patient experience, employee performance, financial management, physician relations and interdepartmental communication and relations. The incumbent will collaborate with colleagues across the organization to positively impact the delivery of care system-wide.

Clinical Business Analyst

The Clinical Business Analysts will be responsible for completing much of the day-to-day work involved with pushing forward areas of the e-VOLVE project across a number of workstreams, including (but not limited to): Orders and Results, Clinical Documentation, and Medication Integration. Clinical Business Analysts will be assigned to a specific Workstream based on their skills, experience, and preference. This role will provide analysis and help in the identification of process improvement opportunities within their Workstream. As clinical resources by background, the Clinical Business Analysts will be expected to apply their experiences as a front-line staff member and liaise with colleagues across the five hospitals to ensure the design of the new HIS is practical and based on the needs of the region. Depending on their assigned workstream, the Clinical Business Analysts will be reporting to their specific Workstream Project Lead. They will help coordinate the interactions required with clinical staff across the region, as well as the interactions required with different workstreams within the e-VOLVE project team.

Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with skill, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. May assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. The incumbent is responsible for the application of current theory and research in the delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations. Reporting to the Manager of Allied Health Services and Program Manager of assigned area, the Physiotherapist is responsible for provision of direct client services including consultation, assessment and treatment. The Genetic Counsellor is a health professional with specialized training and experience in the areas of medical genetics and counselling. Genetic Counsellors work as members of a healthcare team, providing individuals and families with information on the nature, inheritance and implications of genetic disorders to help them make informed medical and personal decisions. Genetic Counsellors help people understand and adapt to the medical, psychological and familial implications of how genetics contributes to disease. They also serve as patient advocates and refer individuals and families to available support services. Genetic Counsellors serve as educators and resource people for other healthcare professionals and for the general public.

Payroll Clerk

Responsible to the Coordinator, Payroll or designate, the Payroll Clerk performs payroll duties to ensure the accumulation of timely, accurate and complete financial and statistical information. This includes: processing of payroll transactions in accordance with approved policies, procedures and collective agreement provisions; preparing and reconciling payment of payroll obligations such as union dues, credit union and Canada Savings Bonds; calculation of retroactive and other miscellaneous payments to employees; maintenance of sick and vacation banks in accordance with approved policies, procedures and collective agreement provisions and accumulation and summarizing of Accounts Payable information. The Payroll Clerk complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Under the overall direction of the Manager, Nuclear Medicine or designate, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with skill, ingenuity and initiative. Must possess excellent knowledge in the performance of all nuclear medicine procedures performed in the department. May assume responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive on promoting a safe work environment as well as adhering to all Licensing and Radiation Safety guidelines set out by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.

The Decision Support Analyst reports to the Manager, Corporate Quality Improvement and works in collaboration with members of the Windsor Regional leadership team and external stakeholders such as the LHIN in providing data analysis expertise, information/data dissemination, and evaluation. This position includes the development and maintenance of systems and processes for collecting data, extracting and merging data from various corporate data sources, tracking performance indicators, conducting analyses, preparing reports, and interpreting analyses in consultation with the Manager, Corporate Quality Improvement and Director of Organizational Effectiveness, senior leadership members, directors, managers, staff & physicians. The analyst is also responsible for participating in the design and implementation of communication strategies to deliver decision support across the organization.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of client-focused Occupational Therapy service delivery which includes consultation, evaluation, treatment and discharge planning, which may necessitate assessment and recommendations of the client’s home environment prior to discharge. The incumbent is responsible for participation in the departmental, program and corporate professional activities supportive of direct services and corporate objectives. Decontamination of a variety of Medical/Surgical instruments, supplies and equipment; processing surgical packs, needles and syringes, setting up trays, packaging special dressings, sterilizing and pasteurising; maintaining the equipment, instruments, and supplies to proper standards and in good repair; maintaining the required records to meet quality assurance standards; maintaining harmonious working relationship with Departmental and Inter-Departmental Staff. Registered Practical Nurse, Operating Room

The Registered Practical Nurse is accountable for the provision of care in accordance with the ‘standards of practice’ as delineated by the College of Nurses of Ontario. The Registered Practical Nurse provides care autonomously to meet the holistic needs of individuals experiencing less complex care situations with predictable outcomes and low risk for negative outcomes. When the RPN provides aspects of care in the situation beyond this, they will do so in collaboration/consultation with the RN and other care providers.

The MRI Tech performs day-to-day imaging in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Department, ensuring the flow of work, while working cooperatively with other members of the team, utilizing supplies effectively and performing MRI examinations with skill and accuracy to best meet customer needs and expectations. This includes screening of the patient, explanation of the procedure, orienting the patient to the scanner and various communication devices, providing support, anti-claustrophobic techniques and hearing protection devices, as required. The incumbent is responsible for the application of current theory and research in the delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations. Will perform assigned duties in, the assembly, production and distribution of food to patients. This includes the preparation of salads, sandwiches, special diet items, hot food items, short-order items, tray pick up and delivery of food and beverages, completion of food requisitions, responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, work surfaces and equipment. The Food Service Worker complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor or designate, the Environmental Service Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the cleaning field, such as, washroom cleaning, hard and soft floor care, all types of housekeeping (patient rooms, office areas, and waste handling and disposal (pick-up, transport, compact, and package for off-site disposal). Other duties as assigned. The Environmental Service Worker complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Responsible for delivery of quality service to main lobby kiosk while maintaining the brand partner standards. Will be required to wear Retail Server classification uniform and will be working in a fast past environment, severing coffee and cash handling. The Retail Server complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Orthopaedic Technologist

Reporting to the Manager of Ambulatory Care, the Orthopaedic Technologist will work under the direction of the Orthopaedic Surgeons, in collaboration with other members of the health care team. The Orthopaedic Technologist will carry out duties as assigned within the scope of practice. The Orthopaedic Technologist complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

The On-Site After Hours Administrator is the most senior management person on site and is responsible for addressing any and all issues that arise in consultation with the Senior Leadership Administrator on-call as required. Responsibilities include the coordination of patient flow for all corporate programs and services; providing support to staff and coordinating nursing staff.

Radio Isotope Technician

Under the direction of the Manager and Radiation Safety Officer of Nuclear Medicine, they will assist in the daily compounding of radiopharmaceuticals and dispensing of patient doses. The role will include daily, monthly and quarterly Quality Control of prepared products along with all Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission’s required documentation. They will assist with the maintenance and quality control of various pieces of equipment used within the Hot lab. They will be responsible for following the procedures outlined in the Radiation Safety Manual developed in accordance with the CNSC License requirements. They will be required to monitor inventory and order specific Radioisotopes under the direction of the Manager or Senior Technologist. They will prepare and package daily cases following TDG requirements for the safe transport of radiopharmaceuticals as needed. They will be responsible for generating patient prescriptions for each dose dispensed. They will perform White Blood Cell labelling as required while maintaining sterility under a Laminar Flow Hood. They will demonstrate good Radiation Safety practices by the proper use of lead aprons, syringe shields and exposure badges. They will participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures and Process Improvement. They will be required to run reports using the Radiopharmacy Software.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the registered nurse is responsible and accountable for the provision of safe, effective, patient-focused nursing care to patients and families. In collaboration with the family and other team members, the registered nurse is responsible for ongoing assessment and monitoring of the patient’s health status, identification of patient/family needs and the development of plans to meet those needs, the provision of direct patient care and the evaluation of care. The registered nurse also participates in the ongoing professional development of self and others, and in unit and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.

N/A Registered Nurse, Operating Room

Reporting to the Program Manager, Operating Room, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and ethical nursing care. Duties include ongoing monitoring of patient condition (data collection and record keeping); identifying nursing care problems; developing patient care and discharge plans and evaluating outcomes; providing direct patient care using the nursing process; guiding and assisting performance of other health care team members; and investigating, documenting and appropriately communicating patient care incidents. Availability for all shifts and "on call" is required.

N/A Registered Nurse, Critical Care

Reporting to the Program Manager, Intensive Care Unit, the registered nurse is responsible and accountable for the provision of safe, effective, patient-focused nursing care to patients and families. In collaboration with the family and other team members, the registered nurse is responsible for ongoing assessment and monitoring of the patient’s health status, identification of patient/family needs and the development of plans to meet those needs, the provision of direct patient care and the evaluation of care. The registered nurse also participates in the ongoing professional development of self and others, and in unit and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
