Do Good Divas Celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday

WINDSOR, ON.  Famous for their annual “Girls Night Out in Handbag Heaven”, the Do Good Divas will focus their upcoming gala on Canada and its one-hundred and fifty years as a nation.

A preview of this theme with purses autographed by well-known Canadians will take place during the kick-off of their “Handbags for Health Care Campaign”:

Date:               Tuesday, June 13, 2017
Time:              11 a.m.
Location:        Ouellette Campus - Windsor Regional Hospital - 1030 Ouellette Avenue
Mezzanine Level – off Goyeau Street Entrance

This year, the Do Good Divas have pledged to raise funds for a number of projects at Windsor Regional Hospital.  A new lounge on 7 West of the Ouellette Campus will be created by converting a former storage area to a comfortable lounge for patients and their visitors.   At the Met Campus, the Divas will fund enhancements of an existing waiting room and kitchenette on 2 North in the Family Birthing Centre.  Most notably, the Do Good Divas are also committing funds for the purchase of 5 Aloe Chairs for the Birthing Centre which will provide the new father a comfortable place to rest/sleep while in hospital with his new baby.

Do Good Divas are going into their 11th year of raising funds for Windsor-Essex, having donated over $500,000 to local health-related programs and services.   They are known for auctioning off famous celebrity signed handbags over the years and Canada’s 150th Birthday theme will be no exception!

“Along with announcing our funding projects for this year, we will also be launching our Handbags for Health Care Campaign to encourage handbag donations from the community” stated Gale Simko-Hatfield, President, Do Good Divas.
