A Message from the Regional Vice President Cancer Services

Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. We would like our website visitors to know that the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre is a “state of the art” facility located on the Metropolitan Campus of the Windsor Regional Hospital. Our expert, dedicated and caring staff provides a wide spectrum of cancer services to the residents of Windsor & Essex, Kent and Lambton Counties. 

The Windsor Regional Cancer Centre provides cancer services to patients in Windsor/Essex, Chatham/Kent and Lambton counties (Erie St. Clair LHIN). Services include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, support, education and research in cancer. As a medical and community leader in cancer care, we work with others toward common goals in maintaining and improving cancer services for our region.

Treatment decisions are made with your input and consent. Your family doctor, the referring doctor and other medical advisors will be involved in your treatment and follow-up. If you have any questions about this process, please let us know.

A Message from the Chief of Oncology 

The Windsor Regional Cancer Centre (WRCC) is a ‘state of the art’ facility located on the Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus. The Centre delivers a wide spectrum of cancer services with its priority focus on providing expert care in cancer treatment. Our greatest strength lies in our staff of skilled professionals who provide the highest caliber of health care in oncology. From the opinion and treatment plan of our oncologists to the expertise of our nurses and radiation therapy staff the goal is always to provide this quality of service with professionalism and compassion. Our staff, as a whole, strive to make our patients’ and families’ experience the best possible and second to none. 

The WRCC takes pride in its patient centered approach to care and continues to expand its opportunities to provide the latest in evidence-based treatment to the patients of our community.

Our dedication and attention to the needs of our patients is built, not only upon providing optimal care, but on delivering this care while keeping a breadth of new developments in the oncology field, participation in clinical trials and ensuring efficient co-ordination of services with community health care providers.
