13.690 Director, Diagnostic Imaging (Full Time)


Job Summary
 

The Diagnostic Imaging Department is responsible for supporting the hospital’s mission to provide "Outstanding Care: No exceptions" while preserving the dignity and rights of patients and their families. This is accomplished through the provision of a client centered, goal-directed service that encompasses current technology and theory in a collaborative multi disciplinary, learning environment. The Diagnostic Imaging Department includes Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT, Mammography and M.R.I.), and Diagnostic Cardiac Services (EKG, , Cardiac Ultrasound, Stress Testing, and Holter Monitoring). Responsible for overall planning, development, coordination and financial and human resource management of the Diagnostic Imaging Department working in conjunction with the Vice President, Chief(s) of Diagnostic Imaging and Diagnostic Imaging Leadership team.

Responsibilities: 

  • In collaboration with the Physician Chief(s), staff and key stakeholders develop and implement goals and objectives consistent with philosophy, mission statement and strategic plan of the hospital while providing a timely and efficient delivery of diagnostic services.
  • Ensure that a continuum of services is available to both inpatient and outpatient clients.
  • Facilitate the participation of various stakeholders to inform the ongoing facility/service planning and development..
  • Ensure that Diagnostic Services are evaluated on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure that mechanisms are in place to monitor the attainment of quality standards and to take corrective action when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain an organizational climate, which promotes and supports respect in the workplace.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration. – preferred
  • License in one of the related diagnostic areas. – preferred
  • Minimum five years leadership, management, administrative experience.- required
  • Minimum five years clinical experience in a related diagnostic area - preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years relevant clinical experience - preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years operational management experience preferred.
  • French Language proficiency an asset.
