13.111 Clinical Dietitian (Temporary Full Time)


Job Summary

The Dietitian is responsible for provision of direct patient services, including consultation, assessment and education. Ensures clinical nutrition services are meeting the needs of the Long Term Care Residents. Responsible for participation in departmental, hospital and educational activities, which are supportive of professional and corporate objectives. Adheres to professional obligations as required by the College of Dietitians of Ontario. The Dietitian is responsible for delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations. The incumbent must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Food and Nutrition
  • Completion of a Dietitians of Canada (DC) approved dietetic internship, or approved DC equivalent
  • Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario.  Membership in the Dietitians of Canada is optional
  • Familiarity with the nutritional care of patients undergoing bariatric surgery would be an asset
  • Experience in clinical nutrition would be an asset
  • Commitment to provide a positive patient experience with adequate support and positive patient outcomes
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to standards of excellence and accountability
