Comfort Rounds
As part of our fall prevention program we conduct Comfort Rounds. Your nurse will do Comfort Rounds at least every 2 hours and more frequently if you need it. When the Nurse does Comfort Rounds they should introduce themselves (if they have not done so already), ask you if you are having any pain, if you need help moving in bed, and if you need help getting to the bathroom. The Nurse will also check your room to make sure that your room is free of clutter, that you have a clear pathway to the bathroom, that your personal items are within reach, that you have fresh water available, check your side rails, make sure your bed is in the lowest position, and will make sure that you can reach and use your call bell. Before leaving, the Nurse will ask you if you need anything else and will let you know when he or she will be back.
