Pharmacy Services

A Pharmacist reviews each new prescription for appropriateness and reviews each patient’s medication profile. They also prepare leave-of-absence weekend pass medications so that patients can go out without an interruption in their medications. Pharmacy must be notified of a request for weekend pass medications by Noon on Wednesdays or pass medications will not be available. The Pharmacy department is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. At night and on weekends, there is a Pharmacist on call to answer any questions and provide medications. Please speak to your Nurse if you have any questions for the Pharmacist.

Note: Some medications are not supplied by the hospital. Families need to ensure that these medications are refilled at an outside Pharmacy. Staff will notify families when supplies are low. Medications should never be left with patients at their bedside.
