Psychology Services

A certified Psychologist is available from Monday to Friday to provide a number of services including support and counseling to help patients and families cope with adjustment to illness, changes in the environment, hospitalization and grief/bereavement issues. They are also available to interview patients and/or families to determine current concerns and obtain background information that may be of help to staff in providing care. In some cases they may do an assessment upon Physician referral and with consent of the patient and/or family to assist in understanding the patient’s current cognitive and/or emotional status. If Psychology services are required, please speak to the Physician or Nursing staff regarding a referral.
