The Sandwich Secondary School Sabres Football team raised $1000 for Windsor Regional Hospital’ Breast Health Centre during their football season last year.

Members of the team hosted ‘Pink Games’ where the players wore pink socks and arm bands to signify their support of breast cancer.

The football players also had pink initials taped to their helmets representing anyone they knew who was or had been afflicted with cancer.

“Funds were collected from gate admissions and a donation box at all games last October.” stated Nancy Berthiaume, team supporter whose son plays on the Sabres Football team.
