Knights of Columbus Ontario State Board Donates to Paediatric Services

Members of the Knights of Columbus Ontario State Board recently visted Paediatric Services at Windsor Regional Hospital to donate a paediatric wheelchair for use by clients.
The Knights of Columbus Ontario State Board in liaison with the Wheelchair Foundation donate thousands of wheelchairs worldwide each year. Most recently, they donated 800 wheelchairs to Haiti due to the urgent need to assist children affected by the earthquake.

"We see the need to help children around the world in countries like Haiti, Afghanistan, Philippines and Mexico because injured or disabled children need the opportunity to move about and therefore, the need for wheelchairs in those countries" stated Peter Lemon, Warden of the Knights of Columbus Ontario State Board.

The wheelchair donated to Windsor Regional Hospital will be designated to Paediatric Services for general use.
